Liberal education is the pursuit of human excellence, not the pursuit of excellent salaries and excellent forms of polish and sophistication. Liberal education is not even about excellent intellectual achievements. Its goal is more ethical than intellectual: It focuses on the development of individuals as moral agents, and it teaches students how to reflect both analytically and evaluatively on the fact that the choices we make turn us into the persons we become.
It was clear to me that the forms of consciousness of our inherited and acquired historical education - aesthetic consciousness and historical consciousness - presented alienated forms of our true historical being.

Electricity is often called wonderful, beautiful but it is so only in common with the other forces of nature. The beauty of electricity or of any other force is not that the power is mysterious, and unexpected, touching every sense at unawares in turn, but that it is under law, and that the taught intellect can even govern it largely. The human mind is placed above, and not beneath it, and it is in such a point of view that the mental education afforded by science is rendered super-eminent in dignity, in practical application and utility for by enabling the mind to apply the natural power through law, it conveys the gifts of God to man.
Must we always teach our children with books? Let them look at the stars and the mountains above. Let them look at the waters and the trees and flowers on Earth. Then they will begin to think, and to think is the beginning of a real education.
With the kitchen fridge as a hub, we then sourced a number of ‘real life’ images showing kids & their parents in various situations to run as a ‘slide show’ throughout the film, as well as images of them achieving and doing well. For the live action shots which connected the commercial, we cast models and voice over artists (who needed to be Welsh speakers) and used a studio to create the film sequences we needed. The shoot day also enabled us to gain some stills which we couldn’t source elsewhere.
Sadly, a large portion of children—over 95 percent—are born outside marriage every year. The statistics are even more troubling among minorities: 77 percent among African Americans and 58 percent among Hispanics. Researchers continue to report that children raised outside stable, married-parent homes are at greater risk for dropping out of school, being involved in delinquent behavior, and having a child outside marriage themselves. These outcomes persist even after controlling for income.

Education and communication are vitally important in order to impress each individual of his or her responsibility regarding the healthy future of the Earth. The best way for students to recognize that their action can make a difference is to have projects organized by the school or community on which the students can work. Once convinced that they can help, people tend to change both their attitude and their behavior. New attitudes towards the environment will be reflected in decisions at home and in corporate boardrooms around the world.

Nations have recently been led to borrow billions for war no nation has ever borrowed largely for education. no nation is rich enough to pay for both war and civilization. We must make our choice we cannot have both.
It all started when we were invited to pitch for this project at the beginning of the year and despite strong competition, we were delighted that our Cardiff office was awarded the contract. After the champagne corks stopped flying, we got down to work.
Third, it is a good idea to learn together. In last month 8767 s article we talked about the value of reading to your child. It is also a good idea to learn with them. That is, while they are completing their homework, it would be good to engage in an academic activity yourself. Take a few minutes to read a book or write in your journal in order for them to see that learning is a life-long activity.
